The average asking rent for rental homes in the Denver metro area managed to increase at a higher rate in December for the year-over-year period than the national average. Outpacing the national measure of 5.2% in the period with a rate of 8.1%, the report by real estate group Trulia placed Denver with the 4th highest increase among the metro areas surveyed. The agency also credited the market with a 12.7% year-over-year increase in home prices.
